Try cleaning it with vinegar and water.
Try a foaming spray like SCRUBBING BUBBLES or COMET
You could try using lemon wedges or vinegar and water

Hi Deb. I use CLR and scrub the faucets with a tooth brush. You can also fill a plastic bag with vinegar and use a rubber band to hold the bag on the faucet head and let it soak.

Hi Deb, hope this helps you. you can use white vinegar dip an old toothbrush in it scrub with the toothbrush. Rinse really well and don't let vinegar sit for more than 15 minutes, this works really well!
To clean a moist cloth with hard water, soap scum, or grease buildup, apply a tiny bit of dishwasher detergent. The more delicate brushed nickel finish can be preserved as oil and grime are removed with the aid of dishwasher detergent. Dry the fixture completely with a microfiber cloth that is free of lint.
I agree with Amanda about soaking the faucet in vinegar by using the plastic bag method. Has worked well for me!
Water softner?
Heat up 1 cup of white vinegar; mix in about 1/4 cup of Dawn Platinum Not the dollar store kind, because it is too thin. When mixed, pour into a spray bottle and fill with water. Shake. It works wonders on shower doors and keeps hard water stains at bay. You can also use a cheap shampoo from the $$$ Store. Squirt it on the door. Use a sponge to clean then spray the door with water. I have a hand held attachment for my shower as well as a stationary one.
PS this mixture also works on tiles and the toilet.
For hard water, soap scum, or grease build up, add a very small amount of dishwasher detergent to the damp cloth. Dishwasher detergent can help wash away grease and grime, while still protecting the more delicate brushed nickel finish. Use a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to fully dry the fixture.
Bar Keepers Friend makes a liquid product which works really well.
