Hello Dee,
What do you mean wet clean or dry clean???
Wet, rent a carpet shampooer from you local grocery store.
Dry, sprinkle baking soda or a Dollar Tree smell good product on it and vacuum up.

I pre-treat the spots with Dollar Tree Carpet Cleaning spray and/or the Carpet Cleaning Foam, then I run my carpet cleaner over the whole rug. Work on remaining spots and a soft carpet brush until them come out and run the carpet cleaner of the area again to get out dirt and excess liquid. Then I put big floor fans on the rug to get it dry quick. I use a Hoover SteamVac that is the best machine I've ever used for all my clients and myself.
If there are pets and fleas, I add some borax to the carpet cleaning reservoir with the carpet cleaner. You can also sprinkle borax over the whole carpet using a glass jar and poking lots of holes in the lid, leave for 3 hours, vacuum up. Then clean the rug if needed.
Hi Dee,
I use a carpet cleaning machine with hot water and hydrogen peroxide. ( ratio is 10 water to 1 HP but I don't use an exact measure. ) Just make sure your carpet is color fast. Wishing you the best.
I spray with vinegar water solution. Scrub if need to.
Let sit for awhile. When dry sprinkle with baking soda and let set for awhile. Then vaccuum.
If there is hardwood under carpet I wouldn’t use vinegar, it will take the finish off. You can rent a machine & they will have a cleaner to match the scrubber.
Rent or buy a carpet cleaner. Use ,soap' solution sparingly, then rinse until no suds left. Time consuming, hard work. Hire a company with all the equipment and let them do the work. If carpets are lightly soiled, they can use a product that attracts dirt and do a great job...this product is used in the White House.
