Yes, I am plugging away at it myself. Do a checklist. Here are some to get you started.

One room at a time from left to right, top to bottom. Have a hamper for laundry, box for donations and another for trash. I started with my bedroom, to walk in closet, linen closet, to bathroom. Then I went down the hall to the other bed rooms, home office, living room, dining room, entry, to kitchen. Some spaces will take more than a day to get everything sorted through and really clean. Make it an accomplishment and step back to see how pretty and attractive you have made your home.
Hi Kelly, sometimes the hardest part is just getting started. Make yourself a list of rooms to be cleaned and organized. Turn on some music that you love and just go for it. Have bags or boxes labeled "trash", "donate", "recycle", etc. Maybe even a box for friends to sort through to see if they'd like any of your cast offs. Then do one room at a time and clean thoroughly and when you need a break from the next room's cleaning,, fix yourself a cup of tea or coffee or ice tea that you enjoy and sit in the room you've redone. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. As you work, you'll likely get a rhythm of your work and it will get easier as you go. Maybe even take before and after pics so you don't lose track of all that you've accomplished. One step at a time will get the job done, just don't let the entire project overwhelm you so you don't even start! Good luck!
Lists, lists and more Lists! Work on one room at a time and cross off as you complete chores.
