Have you considered scrubbing it thoroughly with Simple Green first? It is both a deodorizer and disinfectant. The odor should be gone. I use just baking soda on my carpet and leave it for ten minutes or so, then vacuum it to help deodorize it sometimes. Hope this helps Teresa. Simple Green can be found in Walmart in auto/tire/camping area and in home improvement stores in the cleaning section. It comes in both concentrate and spray bottles as well as wipes. By the way, it is NON toxic to humans and pets.
Yes it’s non toxic but it is not very environmentally safe. Use Judicially. For pee? I spray w a white vinegar solution and blot it. The vinegar smell disapates
