How does one clean up the pet hair from washer/dryers?

The hose on the vacuum cleaner - I do it this way and works great after the inside of washer has dried. You can do the dryer any time as it is already dry. Be sure to clean dryer vent with a vent brush - I empty that vent after every use.
I agree - the vacuum cleaner hose is a good option.
Try rinsing it with a cold water and vinegar rinse.
Just rinse them use a rinse and no clothing
