I use exterior house paint on my painted outside wood furniture. It weathers very well since it is made for houses and it will last for years before you have to repaint!
Hi Susan,
We also used exterior house paint to paint an outdoor wood two seater. Be sure to read all of the preparation instructions on the can. Don't skip any of the steps because doing the prep work is an important part of the painting process. Wishing you the best.
I always use traditional exterior house paint in the semi gloss finish. Make sure to repair any spots on the old finish first ( like sanding any chipping old paint ) and give the pieces a good cleaning before painting. Be sure to paint on a cool day or in the evening as a hot humid day will leave your new finish bubbled an awful looking. Have fun!
