How do I make focal points in my yard?

I have no fences in my yard to put some eye catching focal points. Can you give me some ideas to put things around my yard for people to look at?

Your yard wants to speak to you Diane! Your trees or porch rafters will be your pallet. Hot glue ribbon or twine to plastic Easter eggs and hang in your trees. These eggs will sway in the wind. You can attach/tie Christmas bells to them. Walmart sells giant bunny lights. There are beautiful pastel ribbons you can curl and tie to a wire hanger and hang from your house eave, porch or trees. You can’t see the wire from the street. Again, you can add bells. My, my! You will be busy. I want to thank you for considering decorating your home for Easter. My mother always decorated for every season or holiday. We didn’t have a lot of money but we always had wonderful memories of the holidays because our mother cared just like you!

You could put up a small section of fence and create a garden in front of it. You could add a birdbath, a birdhouse, a small bench or chair! There are so many ideas!
Consider a small patio made of pea gravel, flagstone, pavers, or mulch with a little bistro set or pair of Adirondack chairs, accented with plantings or containers. Coordinate colors of plants or accessories with the trim on your house, or paint your front door to match the accessories.
