Make a paste of TSP and water.

Apply the paste to a sponge, and use it to scrub off the black stains.

Rinse the sponge thoroughly, and remove any residue with clean water.

VINEGAR: Mix cleaning vinegar & water 50/50 in a spray bottle. Dry brush as much as you can then spray the bricks and let sit. While wet, scrub from bottom up in circular motion with a brush. Follow up with baking soda & water wash to neutralize the vinegar's acidity.

CREAM OF TARTAR: Combine 2 Tbs cream of tartar with a enough water to make a thin paste. Apply a layer to the area, let sit 5-10 minutes, rinse with warm water. Repeat if needed.
