dump dawn dishwashing liquid in the drain then pour boiling hot water down the drain. if it still needs further work pour about a half box of baking soda down the drain pouring vinegar behind. let that stand until it clears the drain and then rinse it out with boiling hot water to rinse all the gook down the drain that products loosened.
Hi Julia,
We use baking soda and vinegar on a regular basis to keep our drains running well. Try this. Put about 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain, then add about a cup of plain white vinegar. It will start to bubble and foam, which is a good thing. Let it sit for 10-15 mins then rinse with hot water. Repeat if necessary. Once it's cleaned out, do that monthly with about half the amount to keep it clean. Another thing we do with our washer sink hose is to attach a lint trap. You can get those in a grocery or big box store. They are basically a wire "cage" that clamps onto the hose to trap any lint that comes from the washer. To make your own, you can use a rubber band to attach a knee-hi to the hose. Those have to be changed more often. Here's a similar idea using a clamp. Wishing you the best.

Buy a bottle of Pequa in Home Depot? It is in the plumbing aisle. Works great. Not that expensive & good to keep in the house.
