What kind of cleaner and paint will work on aluminum siding?
Our building has aluminum siding and the paint that previous owners used did not stick so I was hoping someone could give advice of how to clean and what kind of paint that would work. Thank you for advice.

My question as I watched these grandparents was always, "Why are you sweeping your yards, and why is there no grass around your house?" We have grass around ours.
Prepping is the key. A lot of people don't clean the chalkiness all off.

The business across the street from me is a paint shop. A few years ago they bought a single wide older mobile home with aluminum siding and as they were painting it I walked over and asked them if they used a special paint. I was told me it was regular latex but the key was a very good prep job. They pressure washed the building after using long handled brooms and soap and scrubbing it. The owner told me no matter the type of paint job that prep usually is the most important part.
If pressure washing, be sure to avoid forcing water under the siding layers, which can cause rot.
