The easiest solution is to buy an unfinished pantry cabinet the size you need. Install and finish the way you want.
I have extra lumber but have $0 to buy a already made cabinet.
This storage closet will already have 2 walls, as it will be in the corner of my sewing room.
Theres already an existing door that is hinged & swings into the sewing room, towards & next to the new closet.
So basically the storage closet will be behind that wnd existing door.
I want shelves to hold gallon paint cans, my painting supplies, cleaning products, & an upright vacuum.
I want my brooms, mops, etc to hang on the inside of closet door.
It will meaure approx. 2'x2'. I will probably hang a curtain for the opening, instead of insalling a closet door.
No one will be able to see the new closet unless the main existing door is closed. When the existing door is swung open, the new closet will be behind that door. The exisisting door is hinged next to & on the same side as the new closet.
I do realize that the existing door will not be able to swing all the way open to its full extent. But thats ok.
My kitchen has 2 enter/ exit doorways/doors. The main kitchen doorway that I use leads from my dining room into the kitchen.
And the 2nd kitchen door leads from my kitchen into my sewing room.
The new closet will be in the sewing room, behind this 2nd kitchen door & stays open 99% of the time.
I hope I explained everything correctly so you understand.
