Color of wood.
Do you have an idea of what caused the clog?
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup white vinegar
cover & sit for 15 minutes
remove cover & pour boiling water down drain
repeat if needed

I had a problem with my kitchen drain, and I thought the clog was in the kitchen drain itself. It turned out the clog was further along the line. All of the home remedies I tried didn't work. I had to call RotoRooter to service the drain. I called several plumbers and they all recommended the drain be snaked by a professional. The drain was snaked 60 feet, that dislodged the clog and all was good. I was warned it may happen again, and it did two years later. It is something a plumber told me to expect.
