Need to grade away from house so rain water runs off.
Slope the ground away from the foundation. If you can plant grass to prevent water from standing. Divert downspouts away from the foundations with extensions, either solid or flexible.

Make sure that your gutters are working properly and aren't leaking anywhere. Build the ground up around the house, then gently slope it away from the structure. Plant grass or gardens to help soak up water. If there is a solid surface then use gutter extensions, ours are about 2-3 feet long. They are made of plastic and can be bent to where the rain water will run down the driveway and into the street.
