Hi Janis. You need to get a stencil to create the rock pattern. Use several shades of the colors of your choice. Using a stencil brush makes the job go easy. Make-up sponges help too. Be sure to choose concrete paint or stain and don't forget to seal the floor when finished. You can purchase stone stencils from Cutting Edge or even on Amazon.
