How do I do build a coffee table out of a planter?
I need help! (Well, I do have a psychiatrist...) 2019-04-24 14:05 My ex-husband/roommate and I bought a big planter to use as a coffee table. The thing is, is there is no top to it!We're racking our brains and searching and searching the internet, to no avail. We need some kind of round thingy to put on top, about 22" - 23" diameter. Oh, must be inexpensive! (Plus, we're not DIYer's...)I'm thinking there must be some great minds out there who can help me out.So, any ideas? Thanks!

You can buy wooden rounds to use as a table top at Lowes or Home Depot. I have bought 2 different sizes, sanded and painted 1 and stained the other. Dont remember the size of the small but I think its 24 inches. Or you could have a piece of glass cut to fit.
Thanks for that. Any clue as to the cost?
Here is an idea of what the wood rounds pricing are. They have different sizes. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Your post made me laugh. Thanks! If you have thrift stores in your area, they may have an orphan top you can buy. Or an older tray. Also, the Habitat for Humanity have thrift stores that have building and furniture supplies that might help. Good luck.
