I would think you would build similar to a coffee table. Leave front and back open for air and access. Purchase screw on legs would be the best method imo. Then make the flat surface out of the barn wood. You could affix to plywood for a frame if you don’t have tools to join together.
It all depends on your woodworking skills and tools. It would just be a box.
We put our mini fridge on a shelf my husband made out of store bought metal brackets and a piece of plywood.

Find a Cardboard box that is the right size, then make sides and a top to fit over it. Turn it upside down and then remove the box and fit a top . Stain, Wax or Paint to suit decorations.
