Has anyone dyed their leather settees?
with not having much money I was thinking of dyeing my leather settees and I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if so what did you use and how did it turn out, thanks

Hi Sharon, there are leather dyes, but usually the best results are from lighter to darker. And they are not inexpensive. Have you considered using pillows in the colors you are attempting to achieve? This diminishes the color(s) of the settees. Also the furniture's surrounding colors (walls, wooden accessories such as end tables, etc.) can be changed to further push the settes' colors into the background.
I have only done it with the SAME color of the leather in our furniture such as bad scratches or worn places. I use a cream (for large areas) for leather or a shoe dye (for small areas) made for leather to cover.

Brown is an earth tone and almost a non-color. A brown sofa will look great in a grey and white environment.
Brown, as an earth tone, works well in a grey and white environment. Below are two examples, one in traditional, one in a contemporary room.
