I did this following instructions on Hometalk. I picked up some glass items at our town swap shop, used food coloring and white glue. Painted the bottles/containers. It took about one hour to do these. Only problem is you cannot get the outside wet or the color will disappear.

There are a lot of recipes available that use food coloring and alcohol ink. Do you think that's what you saw? You can use food coloring and mod podge then bake it which is supposed to seal the color. After reading what Emily posted, I'm wondering if the instructions she followed included baking the glassware? Here's the link that I've been saving to use for a project with my grandkids.
