A great deal depends on how old you are. If you are young you may not know how much this will come to mean to you once it has been lost to a "repurpose". Keep it as it is and maybe use it over a table cloth. If the style doesn't appeal to your taste today, put it away and revisit it every 5 to 10 years. Or give it to another family member.
Thank you ‘V’. I am in my 80’s and the spread has been on the shelf for a long time. I like your suggestion for placing it over another table cloth. Will see how that looks. 😊
If it is large enough you could use it as a shower curtain with a liner. I would not want to destroy it. It is a lost art. You could drape it over a curtain rod.
Two more great ideas. Thank you Judi.
