How do I repurpose an ice bucket for use in my kitchen?
I have a faux leather covered ice bucket with matching lid that was my husband's grandmother's. Would like to repurpose it to use/display in my kitchen. Any ideas? I know I can put flowers, etc. in it. I have no creativity.!!

I am not sure what you ice bucket looks like but you could paint it with chalk paint and seal it with poly. You could also totally cover it with material. I would use it for holding my kitchen utensils! Here's one idea covered in cork!
Could you use it as a compost bin? It sounds like it would be a good container for that.

Do you just want to only display or use it too? What if you start using it by filling it with popcorn when you sit down for a movie. Or fill with snacks for a movie party. Or use it to chill wine when people come over. Use it to store supplies that fill up a junk drawer in the kitchen ie: pens, pencils. Or use it for.....flowers. ugh. haha. There are always more ideas if you use it in a different location of the house.
It would depend on your decor but if you like farmhouse, you could do cotton stems.
Lavender is always pretty.
You could use it as a napkin or paper towel holder.
It could be a canister for something that doesn't have to be sealed.
A snack holder for individual sized crackers, snack cakes, chips.
But don't limit yourself to the kitchen. I think it would be cute in a craft area of vanity to hide away items when not in use.
I like your idea, it sounds like it would make a very pretty vase. I would drop another small container inside it to house the water and flowers and then just tuck it all inside the ice bucket. You could then prop the top up next to the container as an accent. Tulips would be great flopping over the sides of the leather and they're cheap at the grocery store right now.
Use it to hold large spoons etc ?
Anne Marie: I would use it to display kitchen utensils... might as well have a practical side too!
I would simply just showcase it as it is ... If you can leave lid off you can use for kitchen utensils that you cook your meals with or as a nice vase for seasonal flowers
Cookie jar, flowers, plant herbs!
why not use it as an utensil holder with old kitchen tools or old wooden spoons ? or you could roll up dish towels or napkins and put in there for decor

You could use it to hold utensils.
You could use it for storing cooking utensils or if you'd rather it be more of a display, just on its own is surely perfectly fine.
