The first is to clean up growing mold with bleach, vinegar, or hydrogen peroxide. These cleaners effectively kill mold. A spray bottle is an effective way to treat larger areas; you can use a small brush or cloth to apply it to smaller spots like corners and angles.
Bleach and a brush cleans the mold off. Rinse well. Vinegar will kill any mold spores. Rinse well. Do not mix bleach and vinegar. Fumes are harmful. All else fails you will need to remove old caulk and recaulk.
Use vinegar. Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not. Old wives tale.

Soak the cotton with white cleaning vinegar (instead of bleach) and place on the areas with mold. Let sit for 30 minutes. Remove cotton and rinse with water.
You can get the caulk clean but sometimes the stains from the mold and mildew are still there. Then you have to scrape out the old and replace it with new caulk. Make sure to get the mold and mildew resistant caulk.
Hi Val - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Bleaching will de-colorize the mold and kill most of it. Rinse off. Then use plain white vinegar and apply to where the mold was, it will kill the spores.
If you spray the bleach on, it will become an aerosol and that is not the best application, instead blot it on or brush it on.
