Try some WD40.
Try WD40, Liquid Wrench, penetrating oil, or kerosene. Let it sit for a while then put some more on. Put a pipe wrench on the faucet and another on the hose fitting. Because there are two of you if one holds each wrench you can direct the force better. If you don’t have two pipe wrenches use the largest channel lock or regular pliers you have.
if the worst case happens and you break the PVC turn off the supply to the house (you should locate this before you begin). Go to the hardware store and they will have the fittings to repair it.
Hi Deb. I agree with using WD40. After you spray it, use channel locks to separate the hose from the house. My wonderful hubbie wants you to know that sometimes you can wiggle the hose while you're trying to turn it, and that may help loosen it. (What a lucky girl I am.) Good luck Deb.
Have you tried WD 40?
If all else fails you can try my favorite, heat. You want to warm up the metal so it will expand just a little. Soak a towel or rag in boiling water and wrap it around the end of the hose. While the metal still feels warm try to unscrew it.
