How do you tell the difference if glass gems are painted or not?
Recently used a red glass gem for a project and later the red came off leaving a clear gem.

Painted glass, typically is going to lose its’ paint, sooner or later.
I would take a paper clip end & scratch it. Paint will come off easily.
Why not use integrally colored glass?
