I have tried several different ways to paint the dolphin's mouth. However I am not satisfied with any of them. Do you have any suggestions

Dolphins mouth is basically flesh tone. You can look on Ebay or Amazon for dolphin figurines to get some ideas. You can do a Google search for dolphin figurines also.
Hi Malina!
It may be that you are not used to painting on certain surfaces. You might try this: https://www.wikihow.com/Paint-Ceramic
I would try and talk with a person who owns a store where they paint objects similar to this, and they could tell you how to do so step by step, what paints to use and what brushes. The library may even know of someone who could help you. Good luck.
What I like to do with mouths is start with an outline. I use a pencil for this because the line will disappear later. Then I use three shades of the same color. One is dark, one medium and one light. In this case you'll use flesh tones. Use the lightest color for the entire mouth area. While it is still wet, go back and blend in the darkest tone at the top of the mouth, making sure the dark tone is the original color at your 'dividing line' between top and bottom. Now paint in a line for the tongue area. Use the middle tone and paint a swath from the dark paint outward toward the edge. If you can, go wider at the base and come to a point at the front center point (don't go past the pencil mark!) These things are difficult to paint! Don't forget to practice your blending technique before you do the real thing. Oh, and have fun, too.
Perhaps a lighter pink with dark gray rimmmed shawdows and consider teeth as that might add more perspective and dimension? A glossy gray skin or varnish might be a realistic paint choice.
