Do you mean it's clogged and nothing will flush? You can try a plunger or an auger or add 1 cup baking soda down by the hole. Wait a few minutes and then add 2 cups vinegar, slowly. Let it sit for a few minutes and hopefully that'll work.

Dawn dish soap 1/4 cup over the tp etc. let set for a good half hour to an hour. Then hot water...not boiling but just shy of it. Pour over the mess and try flushing.
My son flushed an article of clothing down that wasn't moving any where. I ended up removing all the water from the toilet. Taking the toilet apart completely and fishing the cloth out from the bottom of the toilet. It really isn't that hard to take on apart just make sure you have a new wax ring (seal for the base) ready for when you put it back together.
