If the basement has not been tanked, it could be coming from the floor and walls equally. First Pump out water, let it dry out, and keep a close watch on it! or call in the professionals to give their opinion and resolution and costs!
You can buy small square plastic alarms at lowes. Place them on the floor where you think your getting water. Look for water stains. When the water arrives the alarm will go off letting you know where it's coming from.
Look for wet damp spots it is probably coming in from the wall wear you have dirt it will need to be dug out tarred and then put dirt back
Add a drop of washing up liquid and watch out for bubbles!
