How to clean hard water stains on windows ?

We use creek water pumped up to our lawn. After several years of it spraying on our windows we have a build up now. We need something super duper good to cut the film. The glass cleaners like windex don’t touch it. Help

Try a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water.

    Hi Bev,

Use equal parts of water & vinegar with a few drops of Dawn. If you need more power, make a watery paste from baking soda and water. Put it on the glass, spray on the vinegar mix and let it sit a while to work. Rinse off and polish with a microfiber cloth. It should remove the water spots. Wishing you the best.

use straight vinegar or CLR just wet the ground below windows really well so it doesn't kill plants. Wear Gloves Use a green scrubber sponge dipped in either soluution then scrub glass use a single edge razor blade to help get it off if needed. then rinse well don't push or scrub too hard on glass so you scratch it. just keep dipping sponge in which ever product you have chosen and keep wiping/scrubbing til it's gone. do this once a month so it doesn't get this bad again. When finished clean glass with straight rubbing /isopropyl alcohol and clean wash cloth( no fabric softener on it and no paper towels both cause streaking and smearing)--just pour alcohol on cloth and wipe glass, mirrors, auto glass rewipe with micro fiber cloth;do inside one direction-horizontal and other side -vertically this way you can tell easier which is not clean
