Use a mixture of half vinegar and half water. Wet a rag with the mixture place it on the slobber. Wait a minute or two and then wipe dry.
Tried that already. Didn’t work.
Try Murphy's oil soap diluted with water; see instructions on bottle. Wring out a rag soaked in the mixture and rub the area to dissolve the deposits. Then wipe dry with a clean cloth. If the shine is affected, apply some paste wax and buff when the wax dries.
Tried that too. I have also tried Bona. It left a white film. It’s a hand scraped oak floor so nothing with wax buildup.
Sounds like you've tried the mild stuff. Diluted Dawn dishwash soap. It removes most things such as dog slobber. A quick on and off and the floor should be good. Rinse after. If that doesn't work add a small amount of peroxide to the dilute Dawn. Use a soft brush and/or rag.
Pets are wonderful to have around but each one seems to bring a unique cleaning challenge. You are not alone. Best of luck on slobber removal.
