Hi Pat,
I have had several of these planters and they do not work like the intriguing pictures of them with huge quantities of plant and vege's growing out of the bottom of them. Lush and green.
Think about it, the water that goes in bypasses the root system and flows out the bottom. They are high maintenance to boot to make sure your plants are getting enough water.
