Hi, Brenda!
If it’s a hole in drywall, it can be repaired using a drywall patch, joint compound and a putty knife. The hole can also be filled with a scrap piece of drywall. Here’s a link to a step by step tutorial using a scrap of drywall: https://designsbystudioc.com/how-to-patch-large-hole-drywall/ I hope this helps!
It depends on the size of the hole. If it's small then just mud and putty knife. You might have to purchase a patch or a piece of drywall as Cher noted.
Once it's dry, you can finish with a damp sponge instead of sanding. It's just a smooth but not as messy. I recommend 3x repeating the process for the best results. Using a thin coat each time rather than a thick coat and then trying to smooth.
Hello there,
Use Poly filler for repairs to walls.
