I have tried the flat rectangular and corner paint cutters ... nothing works as well as good old painters tape ! Don't buy the cheap stuff ! The extra time it takes to put up the tape beats the aggravation on having to go back and do touch up work !
I use painters tape and an angled brush with a small handle
Frog tape is great! And a Wooster 2" inch angled short cut brush! (has a rubber handle and your hand will not hurt after painting for a while. :)
