Perhaps the fuel itself is the problem? You could try adding a bottle of "dry gas". The ethanol in most fuels eventually cause problems with mowers and other lawn equipment. If there is a place to purchase boat fuel, which costs more, you could use that. No ethanol.
Might need a tune up
Did you check fuel pump? Could need replacement.
My hubby agrees with Deanna, it could be the fuel pump. The fuel line could also be getting into a vacuum and starving it of fuel. I had a car that did that once, and the only way it was found was when I told the mechanic to drive it on the highway until it quit, pull over, sit for a few and it will restart and get you back to the shop. It was not something they did, even though I told them it took miles on the road before it would quit on me. They were a little red faced that they didn't do that. Got a cheap fix and tank of gas for almost nothing!
There are many reasons why the mower won't start after running 30 to 60 minutes. Clogged vents, motor failure or full grass bag may be the possible cause. Also, we need to see if the engine is overheating. Depending on the brands and types (walk-behind/self-propelled), the mower may have the overheating protecting mechanism. We can also use the new fuel. This may help.
