This just started a few weeks ago. When water runs from my 1/4 sink into the drain, it seems to back up and leak out of the pipe. This never happens with my 3/4 sin... See more

The Easy Way To Unclog Your Drains
If it is a two sided sink, do both sides at the same time. Half cup of baking soda, then up to a cup of vinegar. Let it sit and fizz and do its work. Once it has stopped, slowly pour a gallon of boiling water between the two sinks, I always do the disposal side water first, then the other side, but it really doesn't matter. If it is a stubborn clog it may take a couple of times. If that doesn't work, you may need to use an anger to break up the clog and perhaps redo the hack afterwards to make sure the pipes are cleaned up. My plumber even started using the hack to keep his pipes clean! You can help prevent clogs by scheduling using the hack to keep the pipes clean of gunk.

Our plumber warned against the vinegar and baking soda method...it isn't good for grease clogs. Hot water and dishwashing liquid can help. Unscrewing the pea trap and cleaning out is probably the most direct way.
