Fix Burnt Grass & Dog Urine Spots With This Easy Solution!
Scratch the surface and remove any dead debris. Sprinkle some good soil on the spot. Reseed, keep watered and it will grow.
Hi Dorothea,
Rinse the area very well and as soon as possible, if the grass is dead, rake it until about 1/2-1" deep is removed. Re-seed and water. Better yet, take your dog for a walk so it does not pee on the lawn.
spray it with beer
The best and easiest way is to to keep watering the areas until the acid from the urine is neutralized.
Hi Dorethea so sorry to hear that. It's a common problem. Dog urine is rich in nitrogen and ammonia so it acts as a liquid fertilizer in a concentrated amount. You can put a tablespoon of baking soda on the spot and water the area to dilute. I personally don't believe in giving your fur baby supplements to neutralize the nitrogen in their wee. It messes with their own body functions.
