I have to do this because my arthritis does not allow me to hold and use the push button on a can of spray starch. I just buy liquid starch and put it in a spray bottle (with a pump handle) mixed with as much water as I like. Works fine.

Spray Starch #2 – Water and Cornstarch, Heated
This is a great starch. 2 cups of water and 1 cup of vodka. Put in a spray bottle. This will not leave white flaky stuff either.
