Depends on what is causing it. Do you know? Do you have a dead animal underneath? Decon kills, but if dies underneath home. Have you opened all Windows and aired it out for a day?
Can you give us any more information? FInding the source of the odor would be helpful. You may have some major cleaning to do depending on your situation or there may some repairs to make if you have leaking water or plumbing pipes.
Ours get smelly. I don't have a problem in the spring and summer when I can open the windows and let it air out but can't do that in the winter time. I mix a 1/4 of fabric softener in a spray bottle and fill the rest of the way with water. It is safe to spray fabric furniture which can hold a lot of those unpleasant smells. It is great to spray in all hampers or dirty clothes baskets and all pet beds too.
As others said, you have to know the source of the odor and fix that. For lingering odors, a drop or two of lavender oil on a piece of paper or in a small non porous dish will kill the odor.
