Tea tree oil, if it’s 100% tea tree oil, is safe to use on wood, just like you would use a danish oil on wood.
Since you wrote it was a mixture, then I would assume it’s Not safe to put on wood, because I don’t know what the mixture contains besides tea tree oil.
100% tea tree oil is about $15 for 2 ounces and that’s a good price.
Never had any success using tea tree oil. The mould would just recur. Finally had the bathroom painted with a mould resistant paint. That was the only way.
Hi Stephanie - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
