Skirting a Mobile Home
Hi Jaime. The big box stores have plastic lattice that is inexpensive (4 feet by 8 feet $30 +/-). You can cut to size. Drive steel rebar (24 inches tall are about $2 each) into the ground to attach the lattice to. You can even use landscaping fabric on the back of the lattice for a complete black out of the background. Attach the lattice with galvanized wire (19 gauge about $4). You can even spray paint the lattice to match the color of your home. Good luck
As Bijous said, plastic lattice would be a good solution, and it comes in different size openings as well as various colors.
If you live in the North you may need something solid to keep down on the wind blowing underneath. Metal roofing material, different woods painted, T-1 11. See what you’re local big box store has to offer for your budget.
If you live in the north where the winters are cold, plastic lattice is not recommended, as it tends to get very brittle in the freezing air, and can crack easily when touched, or when vibrating in the wind.
I would agree that lattice is a great idea. Screen can be really inexpensively purchased and you could staple in on to the back of each piece of lattice before putting it up to fully hide the underside of the trailer. I would purchase the "anti animal" screen, its a little more expensive but will help detour critters from chewing through it.
