Which paint should I use for a distressed look on a China hutch?
I have a bargain $50. find China cabinet in two parts top hutch glass doors and bottom doors. I want to paint it off white, maybe a little distressed. The cabinet is not all wood. How should I paint it and what is the best type or brand of paint.

Perfect for chalk paint Theresa! You can paint all wood or any plastic or metal parts your hutch many have! There is little or no prep work before you start painting. Chalk paint and distressing go well together. I would take off all hardware and doors first and tape off any glass. My chalk painted hutch had plastic door fronts on the lower doors. Chalk paint went right over them just like painting wood. Once I sealed the doors with wax you would never know they were plastic! I also chalked painted the large metal chunky pulls with chalk paint, distressed them, and sprayed them with a poly. I tried to find other hardware but could not find anything to fit. My favorite chalk paint and wax is Annie Sloan. A bit expensive but it goes a long ways. One quart of paint will easily finish your project and you will have enough left for more projects. I also like Rustoleum Chalked Paint, Country Chic chalk paint, and Dixie Bell. Each one goes on a bit differently. With Country Chic you can distress after 30 minutes with a damp wash cloth/dish rag!
Here is some inspiration for you!

I LOVE Fusion mineral paint! It goes on so well with minimal prep and is so durable. The colors are gorgeous.
