Hello S, if you are looking to do a paint job in two tone here is a sample, use colors you like and select whether you want the drawers darker or lighter. Remove the hardware to paint it. Chalk paint is fantastic for this project!
I’m sorry, you want to stain this two-tone?
This “tiger” wood grain should be shown off, not covered with paint.
If you want something really cool, look at staining it with a transparent stain. Colors other than wood colors.
If you want to strip it, analine (sp?) stains come in any color you want mixed up.
I've done chests staining jobs using several different stains on the drawers..... depends on your color scheme. Thats nice wood, it would be a shame to paint it.... they have many colors of stain to choose from..... https://www.arkansaswooddoors.com/minwax-color-guide/ I sometimes pick the colors to go with the comforter/bedspread, rugs and drapes so it coordinates.
Hi, S!
Are you trying to see how it would look if it were painted a different color before actually painting it? A color visualizer like this one from Sherwin Williams may help or maybe Paint Your Place from Behr. I believe you have to upload a photo to the site, then different colors can be tested on it to see how they look. I hope this helps!
That is beautiful Tiger Maple veneer. It would be a mistake and a shame to paint it. I would look into staining it.
Forgive me. I meant stains. I’ve been in heat too long. Sorry.
I agree about the design in the wood and would not paint this period table.
A neutral or natural wood tone would bring out the beautiful pattern in the wood. Maple is usually light or medium tone. Stay away from bright solid stains.
