Drift wood type frames, add shells, mermaid tail, lots of blue/green colors. Hobby Lobby had quite a bit of beach theme this year and when I was in there a couple of weeks ago they had been marked down for clearance.

Use blues and pale tans or grays for paint colors. Use just a few coastal items, such as shells or wall art, so it doesn't get too themed.
