How can I decorate my window to get privacy but not lose light?
Suggestions on covering my bedroom window that views into laundry room. I would like something that doesn't allow anyone to even see my silhouette. I would also like to keep our the light that comes in through the window during the day. I only sleep in my bedroom. I don't watch TV or sir around in it. I am a teacher and spend most of my time at work, so I'm headed to sleep when I go into my bedroom. Any suggestions?? Keep in mind they need to be affordadale... remember I'm a teacher! 😊

Consider some blackout curtains. I have seen some reasonably priced blackout curtains at places like Menards, Lowes, and Walmart and they often go on sale. There are many that you can't see through at all. Most that I have seen have grommets so you would need a round rod to slide them open and closed. They are very stylish!
I'm a teacher also! I would put up a blind, one that doesn't allow light to enter. They make two different kinds and you want the heavier (unfortunately more $ kind). But they aren't too pricey at Walmart.
You could hang a large framed painting over the entire window and make it look like it doesn't exist.😊
Hi ! At Lowe's or home depot they sell a stick on ( but removable ) window light diffuser / privacy coating . They have a few styles , plain lightly frosted , that allowed some light , but you can't see in , also some with patterns . You could buy the rice paper shades ,try IKEA , they have good prices . Or you can get a double curtain rod , and use sheets ( to let light thru ) and also a heavier curtain .Good luck !!!
