How can I upcycle this bathroom towel rack?
The hangers swivel and the whole thing comes apart in sections. It’s made of chromed metal and approximately 5’3” tall. The base was once weighted with sakreet. I just can’t see throwing this out when I possibly could upcycle it. I live in a small 3 bedroom 1 bath house (900-1000 sq ft) with 2 small grandchildren I have custody of. Any kind of space saving piece would be good.

How can I upcycle two roller blinds?
Hi fellow hometalkers. Any ideas what i can do with two roller blinds?. Roughly about 5ft long. Thank you.
Hi, wish you had more pics, I can't quite see how it works. Looks interesting, though!
Curtain rod in a child's play house, mount the rod under a sink and hang spray bottles from it, sit on it's base and cut to an inch or so longer then a roll of paper towels and this could become a paper towel rack that sits vertically.
Can’t really see how tall it is but I would use it to hang mesh bags of the kids toys or a place for them to hang clothes such as pj’s and robe.
Can the long pieces be removed and the swivel pieces put together? My thoughts were to make it smaller to sit on the kitchen counter to hang dish towels or hang mugs or utensils on. I would paint it a color that matches your kitchen decor.
If it can't be made smaller, just keep it the size it is and still paint and use in the kitchen for towels, but the small children might be a problem with this sitting on the floor anywhere if it is not stable and that just screams..... climb on me.
It might make a good coat tree for the little ones if you can weight the base. Thrift stores often have weights for pretty cheap and a big round weight spray painted in a color you like would probably keep it from being too tippy (if not climbed on) if the thing comes apart enough to slip one over it.
If no room for such an idea but the thing comes apart, using some sort of vertical wall space with the upper part that swings (mounted on something like pipes sticking out from the wall or something) would make a great place for hanging towels in the kitchen. The lower part could be used as a hanger for small plant pots or something on the porch if the bottom was weighted.
That's about all I can come up with, but it is a pretty wonderful piece.
If you can't use it in the house, how about using it outdoors for plants? Or solar lights?
If you've got kids, you've got school bags and jackets. Maybe you can come up with a place in your entry way or foyer to use this for holding bags once they've been packed the night before to make getting out the door easier in the morning?
Thank you all for the suggestions, I like the plant and solar light project.
