Hi Bert. There are actually "suspenders" that you use to tighten the sheet in the corners onto the mattress. The heavy duty grippers below are sold on Amazon, but other stores sell them also. They're cheap, usually under $20 for 4. Good luck.

Hello. Are you having a problem with your fitted sheets being too loose on your mattress? They do make an elastic clip suspender that you could put on each corner to help tighten the fit and diagonally secure each corner.
I use big safety pins. They're "baby diaper" sized safety pins. Go through the "cording" at the bottom edge.
