How do I stain over chalk paint?
Do I stain with clear wax first, then half clear half dark wax mixture? I read that this is a method that will need to be redone yearly? I want this project to be sealed properly so I don’t need to revisit each year....what should I do? I already used a clear coat of clear wax, should I stop and wipe off or continue as directed?First timer using chalk paint on cupboards.....

Can chalk paint be used right over varnished stain piece of furniture?

Remove wax and use polyeureathane. May have to use ammonia to get it all. You can use a dull finish poly. Use water based if paint is light colored.
I want to make them look old, how can I accomplish this over the white chalk paint first?
