Hi Kris. Have your septic tank pumped out. Have the main line snaked and inspected.
Is the septic tank professionally pumped and treated - as in back to normal? That’s the first step- get the tank pumped & treated with enzymes.
If so, are you saying the trap of the bathtub is full of effluent? If so, I would buy a small plumbers snake & chuck it into my cordless drill and clean out the trap.
After cleaning the bathtub, I would treat all the traps with liquid live septic system enzymes, for a week.
Thank you. Just bought the house and they said the septic was done. I'll try snaking it.
Thank you for answering!
You might call a septic company and make sure the tank is clear. A snake won't help if it's sewage backing up. If it's just a clog in the drain, the snake should do the job.
