You can find lots of information online about learning to quilt as a beginner. You can also take a trip to your local library and find numerous books on quilting. There is so much information regarding how to quilt that it is impossible to tell you everything you need to know here on this forum! Another idea is to find a local quilting shop that may offer lessons on how to quilt or a local quilting guild. I suggest starting with a small project like a table runner to get an idea of the process. Some patterns are very simple and others are very complicated. Ask at a quilting store for a simple table runner for a beginner.
