Should I paint this brick or not (picture)?
Painters are at my house. Not sure if we should paint brick or not. I don’t think red goes with white or gray. Will have to decide by tomorrow evening. Charcoal gray not shown yet which will be gutters, shutters and framework around garage door. Brick will either be painted white or leave as is. First pic is house before painting.

I love the look of brick, and I think it goes with pretty much anything, especially neutral colors like white and gray. It's your house, so you're the one who has to live with it, but I like it as is. Not to mention that if you paint the brick, you'll then have to keep up with repainting it as needed, whereas if you leave it as it is, you're good for as long as the brick lasts.
Painting brick can turn into a peeling nightmare with costly, time consuming fixes..
did it once, never again. Your house is lovely the way it is
Thanks!
Rather than painting the brick, I would stain the mortar.
please don't paint the bricks, as said above- the peeling issue.
Since you are going with paint, make sure they have done a thorough cleaning and prep job prior or you will have major issues down the road.
Painted brick is just a fad right now.
maybe soften, lighten the color with a white wash. the "wash" does not need to be white.
What is tuckpointing?
