The stain around the drain won’t come off w/scrubbing pads or pumice stone. It’s a tough stain. Seems to be embedded.
Hi Sue, that sounds like calcium from hard water. The best I've found for mine is vinegar and elbow grease. If its crazy bad fill a plastic baggie with vinegar and tie it around the faucet so it can soak.
Probably lime from your water. I put vinegar on a rag and drape it over the faucet near the sink...leave it over night and should be easy to remove the "white stuff". For the end of the faucet....take a plastic sandwich bag and fill with vinegar. Put it on the faucet with the end of the faucet in the bag and use a rubber band to hold the bag on the faucet end. By morning, it should be easy to wipe the lime off.
White cleaning vinegar should clean it.
