I've did that in my old kitchen but alternated the colors on the doors. For example: one door had a white frame with a tan panel and the other door had a tan frame with a white panel. It looked great against a white base with a tan stone-look countertop. The great thing about paint is that if you don't like it, it can be easily and inexpensively changed!
